Wilson was born in Sydney, New South Wales, the daughter of Karlene (née White), a caterer, and Darcy Wilson, a former warrant officer. Her parents divorced in 1982. At a young age, she moved and lived a portion of her life in Papua New Guinea. Living there without television or radio, she and her brother learned to entertain themselves putting on private shows for their parents lip synching to Liza Minnelli. This was just a hint of her budding talent to come. Her family moved around from place to place as her father, Darcy Wilson, was in the military special forces. She learned to adapt quickly to each place she moved and was very well liked.
During her teen years she involved herself in sports such as netball and swimming. As Peta was a very energetic young woman, her mother was concerned about her being a tomboy, and so sent her to deportment classes. While there she was spotted by a modeling agent. Her new career allowed her to live in Europe but Peta had other plans.
First working as a model in Australia and Europe, she moved to Los Angeles where she studied acting in 1991. She studied with people like Arthur Mendoza from The Actors Circle Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as Tom Waits at the TomKat Repertory Group. She landed small roles in independent films such as Loser and One of Our Own. But in 1996, ready to pursue her acting studies in New York, she was persuaded to audition for USA Network. She beat out 200 other actresses for the starring role in the Canadian television action series Nikita (U.S. title: La Femme Nikita) playing the role of Nikita, codenamed Josephine, a martial arts trained covert agent. The show was based on Nikita, a Luc Besson movie of the same name.

About Rosario Dawson:
(From Wikipedia)
Rosario Dawson (born May 9, 1979) is an American actress and singer perhaps best known for her roles in the films Clerks II, Sin City, Rent, Death Proof and Seven Pounds.
Dawson was born in New York City, the daughter of Isabel, a plumber of Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent, and Greg Dawson, a construction worker of Native American and Irish descent. Isabel was 17 when she had Rosario, and 18 when she married. When Isabel was 21, she broke into an abandoned building on the Lower East Side of Manhattan where she and her husband installed plumbing and electrical wiring, in order to turn the building into a squat in which Rosario would grow up. Dawson cites this when explaining how she learned "if you wanted something better, you had to do it yourself." She grew up surrounded by friends and family members who were HIV-positive. Her parents are now divorced.
Already as a child, Rosario made a brief appearance on Sesame Street. She was subsequently "discovered" on her front porch step by photographer Larry Clark and Harmony Korine, where Harmony lauded her with praise as being perfect for a part he had written in his screenplay that would become the controversial 1995 film Kids. Since then Dawson's films have varied; ranging from independent films, to highly successful big budget blockbusters, and large scale box office bombs. Among her successes are Rent, He Got Game and Men in Black II. Among her failures are The Adventures of Pluto Nash (which was nominated for six Golden Raspberry Awards) and the live-action film adaptation of Josie and the Pussycats...

About Sophie Marceau:
(From Wikipedia)
Sophie Marceau (IPA: [sɔfi maʁso]; born November 17, 1966) is a French actress. In addition to her French language films, she has appeared in international films such as Braveheart (1995) and as a Bond Girl in The World Is Not Enough (1999).
Marceau was born Sophie Danièle Sylvie Maupu in Paris, France, the second child of Simone (née Morisset), a shop assistant, and Benoît Maupu, a truck driver. The family lived a working class life that left Marceau with generally fond memories of childhood. During the week, she helped at the family restaurant. She spent weekends with her family in La Cabane, a small house in Vert-le-Petit in the Essonne. Her parents divorced when she was nine.
In February 1980, Marceau and her mother came across a model agency looking for teenagers. Marceau had photos taken at the agency but did not think anything would come of it. At the same time, Françoise Menidrey, the casting director for Claude Pinoteau's La Boum (1980), asked modeling agencies to recommend a new teenager for the project. After viewing the rushes, Alain Poiré, the director of the Gaumont Film Company, signed Marceau to a long-term contract. La Boum was a hit not only in France, where 4.5 million tickets were sold, but in Italy and Japan.
In 1981, Marceau made her singing debut with French singer François Valéry on "Dream in Blue," written by Delanoë...

About Sophie Monk:
(From Wikipedia)
Sophie Charlene Akland Monk (born 14 December 1979) is an Australian pop singer, actress and occasional model. She was once a member of female pop group Bardot and has since established a solo career with the release of an album, Calendar Girl. More recently, she turned her hand to acting, appearing in films such as Date Movie and Click. She dated Ryan Seacrest in early 2008.
Monk's professional music career began in 1999 when she responded to an advertisement at the recommendation of her mother which requested girls with vocal and dance experience. The advertisement was for the Australian television series, Popstars, a TV talent show which aimed to create a successful new girl group. Monk, who has been trained in classical and pop singing and has been performing since she was eight years old, drove all night to audition. In one audition, she performed a rendition of Marilyn Monroe's famous "Happy Birthday, Mr. President", working on her previous experience as a Monroe impersonator at Warner Bros. Movie World. After numerous rounds of singing and dancing workshops, Monk was selected as a member of the group, which was named Bardot.
Bardot became the first Australian act to debut at the #1 position with both its debut single, "Poison", and self-titled debut album. Further singles "I Should've Never Let You Go" and "These Days" followed and in August, the group embarked on its first national tour. Bardot performed at the 2000 ARIA Awards at which they were nominated in three categories.
In July 2001, the group released "ASAP", the first single from their second album. Bardot now had more control over their music and image. The single peaked Top 5, as did follow-up single, "I Need Somebody", their most successful single since "Poison". The second album, Play It Like That debuted at #16, achieving gold status. Monk co-wrote the album track "Feel Right" with fellow bandmate Sally Polihronas. In 2002, final single, "Love Will Find A Way" completed Bardot's string of consecutive Top 20 hits and the group embarked on its second national tour. In May, the group disbanded...
